What music was dad listening to when I was born?

As I have grown up into who I am, I wonder where my parents were in their life and what their interests were at the point I was brought into the world. Music to many is a trivial subject but I love it. So, right now I am Listening to:

Music often makes me think of what kind of person I am and life's many joys and struggles. I always want to link events in life to music. The way I will always remember listening to John Forte - I, John during the summer we graduated High School. Or driving to Circuit City Tuesday September 11, 2001 to buy Jay-Z - Blueprint album. Or, the first CD I got from my Father for my 10th birthday Pearl Jam - Vs. I loved it! Then for my 11th Birthday I got Nas - It Was Written. I remember listening to that CD once or twice and only the single off of it, "If I Rule The World". I did not like the album until 5 or 6 years later when I bought Illmatic which is one of my all time favorites. So if Atticus grows up to share a passion for music, he will know where I was in my musical life. But more importantly, where I was in more important things like spirituality and world topics.
